I moved to Portland from the Midwest in 2014. I adore living here. I treasure my role as an auntie and sister. I’m very lucky to have many amazing friends all over the world.
I love movies, books, music, and video games. I love to travel. I love karaoke night, tinkering with my beloved truck, cartooning, baking, knitting, and caring for my plants.
I have many academic interests as well; critical theory, politics, disability and illness experience, modern and traditional medicines, earth and space science, informal education, and (of course!) occupational therapy and occupational science.
I have extensive experience in healthcare as both a caregiver and a patient; I have dealt with health issues since I was young. My Capstone work reflects my passion for supporting others to integrate their illness experience into a fulfilling and meaningful life.
